

CrossFit is a well known strength and conditioning program that is used by police academies and tactical operations teams, military special operations units, and martial artists, not to mention professional athletes worldwide.
The CrossFit training program delivers fitness that is very general, and inclusive. The whole point is not to specialize.
The CrossFit program is designed for universal scalability making it an ideal application for everyone, regardless of experience or fitness level. We’ve used the same routines for elderly individuals with heart disease and for highly developed atheletes. We scale load and intensity; we don’t change programs.
The needs of top athletes would seem to be quite different from the needs of our grandparents, but in practice we find that their needs are the same. We simply have to scale the program up or down to meet the specific needs of the individuals.
